Brad Scott

Bradley Scott brings a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience in IT, customer relations,  telecommunications, and, especially, business management to AEA Portal. Throughout his career, Scott’s ideas and initiatives have been responsible for generating revenue and improving productivity across 11 different organizations, resulting in more than $32.5 million of increased cash flow.  He has written 5 complete business plans; designed, installed, and maintained multiple POS systems; earned two awards at two different US Embassies; and is now working on the inception of AEA Portal with a goal of increasing employment opportunities for EFMs.

Before officially taking his career international, Scott worked for MCI Business Services in Columbus, Ohio as a project manager where he gained experience managing large telecommunications projects. He also worked for GTE in Marion, Ohio where he created management information systems in Visual Basic, bringing GTE into a new age in preparation for a merger with Verizon Communications.

In 2000, Scott moved with his family to Tbilisi, Georgia where he managed the Educational and Cultural Affairs-supported Internet Access and Training Program (IATP) in the Caucasus.  Under Scott’s leadership in the Caucasus, IATP was able to double its number of public Internet access centers in the Caucasus (Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia) in just three years while reducing costs through the implementation of economies of scale and successful local partnerships.

Scott started his nomadic career in 2005 when his wife began working for the US State Department. As an EFM, Scott first moved to Moscow, Russia in 2005 where he worked at the U.S. Embassy for USAID as the Communications Officer and at NASA as the Management Support Officer. In Vienna, Austria, Scott redesigned financial operations and accounting systems for the US Embassy’s American Employee Association while working the capacity of Financial Coordinator. In Dhaka, Bangladesh, Scott worked as the Country Manager for bGlobal Sourcing, a consultant for the American Recreation Association, a consultant for the US Commissary of Dhaka, the Deputy Executive Officer for USAID, and an accounting consultant for North End Coffee.

Scott has earned a BA in Business Administration and a BA in Russian from the California State University, Sacramento; an MBA in Business Management from Golden Gate University; and an MBA in International Management from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. He was an exchange student from CSU, Sacramento to the Moscow Linguistics Institute immediately after the fall of the Soviet Union. He is fluent in Russian and conversant in German and Portuguese.
